Hippolyta (Hippolyte)

Hippolyta (Hippolyte)

Hippolyta is all about girl power. As the Queen of the Amazons, she's the poster girl for the famous race of warrior women who did their best to kick the butts of any males who trifled with them. Unfortunately for Hippolyta, though, some of Greece's greatest heroes came her way and caused a ton of trouble. The worst offender? Theseus, who kidnapped the Amazon Queen and forced her to be his bride. To add insult to injury, Theseus later dumped Hippolyta for a princess named Phaedra and killed the Amazon Queen when she fought back. Looks like Hippolyta had good reason to think that guys are the pits.
